1. What CartClip is
CartClip is a hosted service for adding shoppable video to a WooCommerce store. You manage videos and product tags in the CartClip dashboard; a WordPress plugin renders them on your storefront. These terms cover both.
CartClip does not host your video files. Videos play from a URL you supply — normally your own server. We store metadata about them, not the media itself.
2. Your account
You need an account to use CartClip. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and you must not use CartClip for anything unlawful.
Connecting a store issues an access key scoped to that specific domain. You can revoke it at any time from the Stores page. Revoking it stops that store from loading your videos.
3. Plans and payment
The free plan is limited — currently ten videos and one connected store. Paid plans lift those limits and unlock additional features. Prices and limits are shown at the point of purchase and may change with notice for future billing periods.
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial periods except where required by law.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to your videos, images, product data, and other content. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service — storing your metadata, serving it to stores you have connected, and displaying it back to you.
You are responsible for having the rights to any video you publish through CartClip, including music and footage you did not create yourself.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use CartClip to:
- publish content you do not have the rights to
- publish unlawful, deceptive, or infringing material
- attempt to bypass plan limits or access another account's data
- overload, probe, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure
- resell access to the service without a written agreement with us
We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious, we will try to contact you first.
6. Availability
We work to keep CartClip available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. The plugin is built to fail safely: if CartClip is unreachable, it serves the last payload it received rather than blanking your storefront.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you rely on and you are on a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice.
7. Analytics data
CartClip records anonymous events from your storefront so you can see how your videos perform. What is collected is described in our Privacy Policy. Raw events are retained on a schedule tied to your plan; aggregated daily counts are kept longer.
8. Liability
CartClip is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Termination
You can stop using CartClip at any time and delete your account from the dashboard. Deleting your account removes your videos, tags, and analytics. We may terminate an account that materially breaches these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use CartClip after that means you accept the updated terms.
