Measured, not repeated.
Every shoppable-video vendor says its player is light. This is the arithmetic. Our figure is written by the build that produces the bundle, so the page cannot quote a weight the artifact disagrees with. Theirs were measured by hand, on one day, and say so.

Lower is better. Bars are drawn against the heaviest bundle in the list, and the list is ordered by measurement — if a vendor shipped something smaller than ours, they would sit below us here and the page would still be correct.
How these were taken.
- Gzipped transfer size of the storefront JavaScript each vendor loads on a page running their player, read from the browser network panel on a single page load, in one configuration, on the date above.
- These change without notice. Any vendor here can ship a smaller bundle tomorrow, and this page is wrong until someone measures again. A comparison of other people’s software is a photograph, not a feed.
- Only vendors we actually measured appear. Others are missing because nobody measured them — not because they did badly. Filling the gaps with estimates would make this a ranking of the market, which it is not.
- Ours is the one figure not in that category. It is regenerated from the bundle on every build, and
pnpm sizefails the build if this page and the artifact disagree. Our own ceiling is 40 KB, enforced in CI. - You do not have to take any of it from us. Open a store running any of these players and read the transfer size in your browser’s network panel — ours included, on this site.
What this page will not tell you.
We publish no figure connecting player weight to what a store earns. We have run no study that would support one, and the numbers quoted around this category rarely name a method, a sample, or a date — which is what makes them quotable and worthless.
What a smaller bundle does is smaller and duller than that: fewer bytes to download, on the pages where you put a player, with no third-party request to wait on. Whether that matters to your storefront is a thing you can measure. It is not a thing we are willing to invent on your behalf.
