A different block on a phone
Not a squeezed one. Arrangement, count and spacing are separate settings, so the phone gets a layout rather than a compromise.
One place decides how it looks
Arrangement is per block: a 2-up carousel on one page, a 4-up grid on another. Everything else (colour, corners, buttons, playback) is chosen once in the Studio and applies to every store on your account. There is no second appearance screen to keep in step.
It costs your storefront almost nothing
Carousel, grid and inline all render from the same 7.4 KB core bundle, so changing between them changes nothing the page downloads. Feed and stories add a separate 0.9 KB of JS and 0.8 KB of CSS, loaded only on pages that use them.
